My…Can I?…

Good Morning!…

I have been thinking a lot lately about how things have changed so much, how different people are today. It seems like people are too busy to even be polite anymore. That makes me sad…very sad…

But in my small world…I have read some blogs this week that changed my perception. It was all the posts by everyone that participated in the “7000 Bracelets of Hope” campaign. As I went through and read their posts describing their bracelets, beaming like moonbeams bouncing off the water, you felt all the love that they put into their work and what it meant to “pass it on”.  As I continued reading, I realized that we really can make a difference…

So I continue on with this ongoing conversation in my head,  during the course of our day…can we really make a difference?…Can one person running their errands, picking up the kids from school, shopping, blogging or just sitting in traffic?…Can I, one person in my day to day normal routine?…Can I make a difference?…

I say, YES I/We can make a difference…

Try this: say, “Good Morning”, “Thank You”, “Your Welcome”, wow! I love your shoes, your necklace, your purse…

It doesn’t matter, just look people in the eyes, make that connection and we will make a difference…You bet ya…

So thank you so much for all of you that participated and shared what it meant to you, it touched me and I was reminded that I want to “Share Kindness and Pass it on”…

Thank You,

Lisa

  1. you stopped by my blog while hopping around looking at the 7000 Bracelets. It was my first hop! It was so inspiring to see what was made and how many people poured their hearts into the project. i could not agree more with what you wrote here. politeness, kindness, simple acts…they make a huge difference. i hope we never forget to smile and say HI!

  2. Lisa, very beautifully said! I have certainly found this to be true by knowing how I can feel so much better by a small kindness from someone, what a huge difference it makes in my day, my mood. Being that there is not alot I can give, I know for a fact that I can give a smile and a good morning and a compliment, like you said. And most times you can see it happen right away, a spark comes in the eyes when there wasn’t one before, a lighter step, a smile back … it’s pure magic! I think it applies to what we are doing here on our blogs, also. Thank you, my dear, for passing it on!

  3. I have learned tha all we have control over in this world is how we act and react. We have the wisdom of the masters, “to be the change we wish to see in the world,” “to do unto others as you would have others do unto you,” and many other beautiful teachings from around the world. I’ve seen good humor and pleasantness diffuse the most tense situations. Be present, be polite, stand your ground and have a good belly laugh often!!

  4. Wonderful post and yes we can definitely make a difference and a big one with just the little things we can all do each day! I’m off to check out the links you posted. Thanks for stopping by to visit! 🙂

  5. Thank you all for your wonderful feedback…All it take is a little Kindness..Pass it On…
